Problem Statement
Students often miss event announcements or face difficulties registering due to offline processes and scattered communication channels. HackVerse was designed to provide a central, modern platform where events are showcased, notifications are clear, and registration is quick and seamless.
Goals & Objectives
Goals:
Create a modern, engaging platform that encourages students to participate in events.
Provide a centralized hub for event discovery, details, and registration.
Reduce dependency on manual/offline registration processes.
Objectives:
Design a dark-themed, visually appealing interface that resonates with students.
Ensure event discovery is simple through categories, filters, and search.
Implement a seamless online registration process.
Allow event organizers to post updates and notify participants instantly.
Optimize for both desktop and mobile viewing.

Research Process
Methods:
Interviews with 8 students from colleges and schools to understand event discovery pain points.
Competitor analysis of event platforms like Townscript, Unstop, and college portals.
Key Findings:
Students prefer a visually appealing, modern UI over plain text-based sites.
Event details need to be concise but complete (timing, location, eligibility, prizes).
Quick online registration increases participation rates.
Design Thinking Approach
Empathize: Understood the frustration of missing events due to poor communication.
Define: Need for a centralized, attractive, and easy-to-use event platform.
Ideate: Brainstormed layouts that highlight events visually and encourage interaction.
Prototype: Built high-fidelity dark-themed mockups in Figma.
Test: Collected feedback from 5 students and 2 faculty members to refine design.
